Arthur, being the big romantic that he is, proposed to Fong Yee at the peak of the tallest mountain in Southeast Asia - Mount Kinabalu! Here is our story...On May 15th, we embarked on an overnight hike to the top of Mount Kinabalu at 4095m high. We spent the first day hiking 4.5 hours up to the Laban Rata Lodge where we spent the night. We woke at the wee hour of 2:00 am the next morning (May 16th) and started our hike to the top of the mountain in pitch darkness and freezing cold. We reached the top at 5:00 and waited for the sun to rise. During this long wait, Arthur and Fong Yee huddled together under Arthur's solar blanket to keep warm. Neither of us had brought warm clothing because we thought that Malaysia would be very warm! As the sun was rising, Arthur got onto one knee and popped the big question! Fong Yee couldn't help but shed tears of happiness and of course replied yes.
And that is our story and the beginning of our new journey...
